I make no special claim to truth for the histories I tell. I tell them because I feel them strongly, even because I regret them strongly. There is nothing new here - is there ever anything new in history? - and cliches may well abound in these cards. I hope somehow to give these ideas a bit of life in this writing, that maybe this history will mingle with other similar informational viruses and start a new wave of infection.
