Setting up FTP on an NT Machine

I hope you told NT to install FTP when you set up TCP/IP, but if you didn't, you can still add it from the Network Control Panel with the Add Software button.
Configuring it is pretty easy, though - just remember that want to configure it from the Network control panel and administer it from the FTP Server control panel. The setup when you choose FTP Server and Configure.... is fairly minimal:

You can choose a directory to use as your FTP base, the number of users, and whether or not you want to allow anonymous connections. I don't allow them - it's easy enough to log in using Windows NT usernames and passwords. Not much complexity here.
