Money scarcely exists anymore. It's on the other side of the ATM most of the time, floating in cyberspace. Physical cash is a tiny percentage of the total in circulation. The rest is numbers in the corporate computer system, a vast array of ledger entries at banks, insurance companies, governments, a set of information whose mere manipulation can cause it to grow. Money became capital long ago, far beyond the control of any individual or even institution.
