Microwave towers and fiber optic lines replace copper lines across the country and make new innovations possible. Cyberspace is physically inside these lines, especially the closed network connecting banks, and a terminal anywhere along the line can connect to a system anywhere else in the world. Suddenly an infobahn has arisen, connecting people and money all over the world.
